Launch Day was a whirlwind…

Launch day was a whirlwind of emotions—I was excited, scared, and honestly a little unsure about the designs. Would people like them? Would they connect with what we were trying to create? But more than anything, I felt this incredible sense of purpose. The challenge of putting myself out there was daunting, but also so rewarding. It felt like my love for running had naturally flowed into something bigger—something we could share with others through Dark Peak Trails.
The main reason we started this, as mentioned in my last blog, was I love running but not the clothes I was wearing! I do have a creative side and I enjoy expressing it through making my own T-shirts for myself, something I loved to wear and felt comfortable in. Marcus was also keen on the idea and he helped created the name Running Junkie, and the logo.
So that’s exactly what I kept telling myself on launch day: We love them, so maybe someone else might love them too. Holding onto that thought kept me grounded and reminded me why we started doing this in the first place.
The orders we’ve received so far have left us feeling so grateful—it’s been amazing to see people supporting something we’ve poured so much heart into. It’s truly blown us away seeing our brand pop up in other people’s social media photos. It’s an unbelievable feeling, like a little spark of pride every time we spot one of our t-shirts out in the world. Knowing that something we’ve created is becoming part of someone else’s running journey is just incredible.
This first month has been a rollercoaster, but I’m so excited for what’s to come. We’ve got so much more to share, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
